VCF Midwest 21 is done; VCF Montreal is next, with VCF East and VCF West set for 2027

The free Schaumburg show ran on 12 and 13 September, six weeks after VCF West at the Computer History Museum. The Vintage Computer Federation now lists VCF Montreal for 7-8 November, VCF East for 2-4 April 2027 and VCF West for 31 July-1 August 2027.

Vintage Computer Festival Midwest 21 took place on 12 and 13 September 2026 at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois, with free admission. Its organisers, Chicago Classic Computing, said before the show that it would be "at least as large as 2025's". They have not published an attendance figure on the festival site.
The show ran from 9 am to 8 pm on the Saturday and from 9 am to 3 pm on the Sunday. Exhibitor table registration had closed before the weekend, with a stand-by list for anyone hoping a place would open, and the site says that, because of rising costs, the minimum donation per table is now $100. The festival's hotel booking was also full. Alongside the exhibits, the programme listed an auction, an online buy-sell-trade board and, on the Sunday morning, an amateur radio licence exam session.
VCF West
The Vintage Computer Federation's West Coast show ran on 1 and 2 August at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, with tickets sold through the museum. Ronald Wayne, who wrote Apple's original partnership agreement and designed its first logo, was scheduled to speak on the Saturday afternoon. The Sunday session was billed as Paul Terrell, Daniel Kottke and Wayne presenting Liza Loop with a replica Apple-1 before a discussion of Apple's early days, and the federation's post of the livestream names Steve Wozniak alongside them.
The calendar
The federation's events list gives three dates.
VCF Montreal is on 7 and 8 November 2026 at Champlain College Saint-Lambert in Saint-Lambert, Quebec. Its organiser, CVCFED, a Canadian non-profit founded this year, sells tickets at C$30 a day in advance and C$40 at the door, and the federation scheduled a preview livestream for 25 October. VCF East follows on 2 to 4 April 2027, and VCF West on 31 July and 1 August 2027.
The East listing gives dates only. This year's East show was held from 17 to 19 April at the InfoAge Science and History Museums in Wall, New Jersey, under the theme "Dawn of the PC". The list has no 2027 dates for the federation's other regional festivals, among them VCF SoCal and VCF Southwest. The federation also held a swap meet on 17 October.
